Darrel beggs
Pastor
Darrel was born in Fort Worth, Texas and grew up in the small town of Glen Rose, Texas. At the age of eighteen, he had a life transforming encounter with Christ which brought a peace and fulfillment that he never thought was possible. Since that time, his desire has been to share the good news of eternal and abundant life in Christ with others.
Darrel met and married his wife Denise in Glen Rose. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Howard Payne University and his master’s from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been the pastor at Central since November of 2009. He takes great joy in being a pastor and teaching and preaching God’s word.
Darrel and his wife Denise have two grown children and one incredible grandson. Their third child has been with Jesus since 2008. They are grateful for God’s precious gift of family. He has also been known to share some really corny jokes.

AUSTIN DANIEL
MINISTER OF MUSIC and Discipleship
Austin grew up in Rusk, Texas and came to know the Lord as a child at First Baptist Church in Rusk. After giving his life to Christ, he continued to grow in his faith as a teenager and began to sense God’s call to vocational ministry. Austin holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, a Master of Music degree in Church Music from Baylor University and a Master of Theological Studies degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Prior to coming to Central, Austin served as Minister of Music at First Baptist Church in Clifton, Texas and as Worship Pastor at First Baptist Church in Salado, Texas.
Austin’s passion is to see God’s people united in worship that is God-exalting, Christ-centered, Spirit-led and life-changing. When time allows, he enjoys golf, tennis and hiking.
Natalie Daniel
Children's Ministry Coordinator
Natalie grew up in East Texas and began her walk with Christ as a seven year old at Calvary Baptist Church in Lufkin, TX.
She graduated from East Texas Baptist University in 2005 with a degree in All-Level Music Education and taught music in the public school system for 8 years before staying home to take care of their children, Timothy and Lydia.
Natalie is excited to be serving as our Children's Ministry Coordinator. Her desire is to reach the children of our church and community with the message of God's love and His redemptive work through Christ, and to work with families and the church body to help raise up a generation of disciples.
